REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during the rear door belt moulding removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG

4. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR FRAME BRACKET

10. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Disconnect the rear door weatherstrip until the screw of the door window rear lower sub-assembly is visible.

11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

(a) Apply protective tape around the rear door belt moulding assembly.

(b) Disengage the claws to remove the rear door belt moulding assembly as shown in the illustration.
