REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the rear seat airbag removal/installation are shown below.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH sides.
  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

NOTICE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT AIRBAG

CAUTION:

When storing the rear seat airbag, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

Deployment Side

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the claws to remove the rear seat airbag.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the deployment surface of the rear seat airbag.
