DESCRIPTION
When the ignition switch is ON, the combination meter assembly monitors the state of the front passenger side seat and the front seat inner belt assembly (front passenger seat) and also whether the front passenger seat is occupied. If the front passenger side seat belt is not fastened, the seat belt warning light of the combination meter assembly blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

NOTICE:
When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.

PROCEDURE

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (P-SEATBELT BUCKLE SW) |
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) |
(a) Disconnect the F4 combination meter assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the M53 front seat inner belt assembly (front passenger seat) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
