INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL BATTERY
HINT:
Perform "clear the integrated current value", "switch battery type" after replacing the battery.

(a) Install the battery to the vehicle.
(b) Install the No. 2 battery clamp with the bolt. Torque: 15.4 N·m {157 kgf·cm, 11 ft·lbf} |

(c) Install the battery insulator to the battery.
(d) Connect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal and engage the clamp.
(e) Tighten the nut.
Torque:
5.6 N·m {57 kgf·cm, 50 in·lbf}
(f) Engage the 2 claws and install the fusible link cover. |

2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
(a) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and tighten the nut.
Torque:
5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform "clear the integrated current value", "switch battery type" after replacing the battery.
